
Nanoparticle-a particle having one or more dimensions of the order of 100 nm (nanometers) or less.
Nanoparticles are usually formed as an aerosol (a solid or liquid suspended in air) a suspension (solids in liquids) or an emulsion (two liquids mixed). They are used to create stronger, lighter and cleaner surfaces. It is about 1000000th the size of the average particle. The only differance between a nanoparticle and a non-nanoparticle is it's size.

Make-up (smoother, more attractive surface)
Steel Finish (shinier, smooth surface)
Varnishes ( shiny, smooth finish)
Rust Remover ( gives surface lustre)
The Dangers of using Nanoparticles.
Nanoparticles can be dangerous if they come in contact with the skin. They seep through the pores in your skin and affect your body making it think the nanoparticles are an "intruder". Your body will then take action against the nanoparticles. This can go on for a long time and it can have harmful side effects. Also, unlike regular particles, nanoparticles can pass through the bloodstream and eventually affect your brain cells. Special brain cells called microglia can help resist them but not completely. Also they are being studied to see if they have possible poisonous effects. In a rat model, it was found that it may alter stress reaction and brain pathology following hyperthermia. Effects still unknown in humans.
Treatment for Nanoparticle Infection
Over time the nanoparticles will actually heal away themselves, but there are various treatments for curing and actually preventing nanoparticle skin penitration. You can obtain a machine, often used in various labs, that alerts you if there is a threating amount of nanoparticles in the area. It is known as a nanoparticle aerosol monitor.

Should the use of nanoparticles continue?
That is the question that is being asked by users everywhere. Personally, we think the use should continue. Nanoparticles are used in a number of products (pretty much anything that improves the appearance of somthing) and the known effects are limited and most aren't that dangerous. If it stops, then the users would lose money and lose jobs. So just avoid it.
